Kunstverein Aughrim is a residential production agency for contemporary art projects. Founded by curator Kate Strain, it is Ireland’s first art association based on the European model of a kunstverein. Situated in the town of Aughrim, County Wicklow, it is a locally rooted, internationally oriented cultural and curatorial office, established to bridge the gap between artistic practice and public presentation, in contemporary visual art in Ireland. Kunstverein Aughrim acts as a commissioning, development and production agency for ambitious creative projects.
