March 2, 2022

Recipient of the Arts Councils’ Visual Artist Bursary Award 2021 and Visual Arts Project Award 2022, Strand 1, for the development of a collaborative project, series of performances and a solo exhibition with Kunstverein Aughrim, Wicklow, curated by Kate Strain.

Kunstverein Aughrim is a residential production agency for contemporary art projects. Founded by curator Kate Strain, it is Ireland’s first art association based on the European model of a kunstverein. Situated in the town of Aughrim, County Wicklow, it is a locally rooted, internationally oriented cultural and curatorial office, established to bridge the gap between artistic practice and public presentation, in contemporary visual art in Ireland. Kunstverein Aughrim acts as a commissioning, development and production agency for ambitious creative projects. Working on up to four major productions each year, Kunstverein Aughrim supports, mentors, promotes and represents the artists with whom it works, seeking to develop opportunities for patronage, collaboration and engagement at an early stage of the process, and to carry that through to the presentation phase. At the core of Kunstverein Aughrim’s ideology is a belief in the necessity of art, and a desire to create the potential for extraordinary encounters with artistic practice.
